Acrisure Announces Rebranding of UK Retail Broker Sutton Winson

Sutton Winson has officially become the first of Acrisure’s nine retail insurance brokers to rebrand in the UK and has been legally renamed as Acrisure UK Broking Ltd.

Acrisure, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based insurance broker and fintech specialist, said it has grown exponentially in the UK by buying nine retail insurance brokers, three managing general agents and a network in the last three years.

Sutton Winson is the first to take on the Acrisure brand and the other UK businesses will follow over the course of 2025. As part of this expansion, a , which is dedicated to the Acrisure retail broking business in the UK.

“We are delighted to be the first retail broker to officially become Acrisure and while our name has changed, it will not affect the extraordinary value and service that our clients have come to expect from us,” commented Sally Swann, managing director of Acrisure UK Retail Broking in the South.

“It is the same team, expertise and dedication that we will be providing to our longstanding clients across all our corporate, personal, healthcare, high net worth, commercial and specialty sectors,” Swann added.

Acrisure recently announced that it is the official insurance partner of one of the most famous UK cricket teams, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. They are now the shirt sponsor of the women’s team, The Blaze. The Fox Road stand at the Trent Bridge Ground has been renamed the Acrisure stand.

Acrisure said it has a reputation for high-profile sports sponsorships in the U.S., including the Acrisure Stadium, home to the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers and the Acrisure Arena, hosting the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Acrisure recently moved its international headquarters to a new office in London, which is home to UK Retail Broking, Acrisure Reinsurance, London Wholesale, Corporate Advisory Services and Flux Syndicate 1985.

The Clear Group’s MGA Division Rebrands to ‘Shape Underwriting’

The Clear Group, the London-based independent intermediary, announced the rebranding of its managing general agency division to “Shape Underwriting.”

From May 1, 2025, both Profile Underwriting and One Commercial Specialty will trade as Shape Underwriting.

This strategic decision represents the first stage of consolidating Clear’s MGA operations under a single brand, improving its service proposition for brokers and strengthening its position in the insurance market. This signifies the integration of these underwriting specialists with one cohesive identity, streamlining operations and delivering a consistent brand experience to broker partners and clients.
